I haven't finished it. I may or may not go back to it.

Right now I'm playing Lost Odyssey, aka Final Fantasy 12-and-a-half.Granthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05277173223422519172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24434266.post-9809636322180353382008-02-08T09:09:00.000+11:002008-02-08T09:09:00.000+11:00Oh, I love me the JRPG. Final Fantasy generally manages to jump the gameplay hurdle in each iteration, even when the story doesn't hold up so well (such as in its last outing). Also for some reason I tend to have a fair amount of tolerance for Namco-Bandai's "Tales" series, despite its generally grind-heavy gameplay.

"Eternal Sonata" just rubbed me completely the wrong way.

Thanks for the well wishes!Greg Tannahillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00823898295759037081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24434266.post-12481771112827097882008-02-08T00:45:00.000+11:002008-02-08T00:45:00.000+11:00"apocalyptically tedious and irrelevant gameplay"J..."apocalyptically tedious and irrelevant gameplay"

Just had to comment to register my intense enjoyment of this phrase! :)

I haven't played this game, but your description of it matches up to what little information I have to go on. It's worth remembering that Japanese cRPG players have quite different play needs to English-culture cRPG players - but since other games have crossed this divide quite comfortably, this in no way forms a viable excuse!

Best wishes!Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07550565723765898399noreply@blogger.com
