Battlestar Webisodes

[Now Experiencing] [TV]

I just discovered that if you live outside the US, you can't watch the Battlestar Galactica webisodes directly from the Sci-Fi.com website. Which sucks. YouTube has episodes 8 through 10, but does anyone know where I can find the earlier stuff, short of torrenting, which for various reasons my computer doesn't seem up to at the moment?

Also, I only just realised that the season finale for season 2 (the second half of the two-parter) is a 90 minute special. (I thought it seemed long.) The relevance here is that a lot of countries outside the US are apparently only getting it as a trimmed-down one-hour version. Look - it's a difficult enough episode to swallow as it is. If we get the one hour version here in Australia, make sure you go out and download the real one, or buy the DVDs.

If the previously posted source is no good, I've been downloading them for Andy - maybe we can burn them onto disc for you or something. Andy will advise on the approriate file format.

JF - Thanks heaps! I will owe you some kind of a drink next time I'm in Perth. Claim it from me, possibly at gunpoint.

Jess - I think I'm good now, but thanks. I'm assuming these will all be included on the season 3 DVD set eventually, anyway, so I can in any case refresh my memory about a year from now when that comes out.

That's completely inane on SciFi's part :|

Josh - it'll be for legal reasons. For instance, in Australia, Channel 9 (or whoever, I don't watch free to air) has the rights to Battlestar, so for Sci-Fi to transmit via the internet additional Battlestar episodes is a breach of the licence, or something. It still sucks, though.

JF - I now have all the webisodes. Thanks for your totally legal advice. 8-) Your comment has been deleted at your request.

Josh - Just realised you might be talking about the one-hour thing. That's not a decision on SciFi's part, that's a decision of the transmitting station, who probably doesn't want to find a once-off 90 minute timeslot for a genre program.

No worries - there has to be some benefits to a ridiculously fast DSL connection. *grin*

MUCH LATER: They were NOT included on the Season 3 box set. Heads will roll.
