I was watching some old episodes of Ned & Stacy (like Will & Grace, if Will was the protagonist of American Psycho). I was struck by the computer monitors they were using - these huge, clunky things where the back end stretches out like a dog's nose, trying to look all future-modern despite the fact they must weigh about a tonne. They were so primitive, when they logged off I was expecting them to go spear-hunting for mammoth, and drag their kills back to cook over a hand-made fire or possibly some hot coals in a cave somewhere.

Ah, the 90s. However did we live through them?
